Constitution agreed to by the Representatives from North Carolina assembled in Halifax, North Carolina in 1776, published in Philadelphia in 1779.
There are two copies of this Constitution, which was passed in December 18, 1776. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of titles originally held by the
Department of Archives and History in Raleigh, North Carolina (c.1), and Historical Society of Pennsylvania Library (c.2)).
Title:   The constitution, or form of government, agreed to, and resolved upon, by the representatives of the freemen of the state of North-Carolina : elected and chosen for that particular purpose, in congress assembled, at Halifax. The eighteenth day of December, in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and seventy-six.
