1821, New York Con. Conv. Debates and proceedings (New York)
Report regarding the debates and proceedings of the New York Constitutional Convention which was begun in Albany on August 28, 1821. L. H. Clarke
was the listed author; however, as noted on an advertisement at the beginning of the book, Nathaniel H. Carter and William Stone and Marcus T. C. Gould
were used to report the proceedings. The volume contained various documents, including speeches, journals, divisions, references, old and new
constitutions, as well as some other documents. There was also an appendix, and an index which included a list of delegates who made remarks or submitted
amendments and the pages where they were found. Of note, Martin Van Buren, then a state senator, was one of the delegates. (Source of the digitized
