1733-08-25, Summons in Trusdell v. Harison
August 25, 1733 summons for Francis Harison issued by William Trusdell in the New York Mayor's Court case of William Trusdell v. Francis Harison.
The suit alleged that the defendant, without authority, caused the plaintiff to be arrested and imprisoned for ten weeks in the suit of Joseph Weldon.
After the summons was served on the defendant's wife, broadsides were posted to assure the defendant's knowledge of same and presence in Albany. A
second page is a handwritten document. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of title originally held by the New York Historical Society Library).
