1838? address to the people of Connecticut from the Board of Commissioners of Common Schools. The committee urged an inquiry as to the state of
education in Connecticut, with action to address needed changes. Included are the Connecticut General Assembly's act to provide for better supervision of
common schools in the state and the second report of the Joint Select Committee on Common Schools, submitted in the May 1838 session. Of note, pages
