Joint Select Comm. on Captal Punishment. Report, 1852
Report of the Joint Select Committee, following the Governor's message as it related to capital punishment, and presented to the Connecticut General
Assembly during the May session, 1852. This was a renewal of the governor's request for abolishing the death penalty; after enumerating various
reasons for its recommendation, the committee attached an act that imposed a natural life sentence rather than the death penalty. See LLMC # 20175, 20196,
and 20212-13 for related documents. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of titles originally held by the Connecticut State Library).
