1839 report of Joint Select Committee on Internal Improvements on the Housatonic Rail Road Company, which was submitted to The Connecticut General
Assembly. The report attached a proposed bill for the assembly's consideration, which included authorizing certificates of debt, the interest and
repayment schedule, as well as other details, in order to provide money to the railroad company for completion of its railroad. (Digitized from a
