January 19, 1819 Report of the House Committee on Contested Elections regarding the election of numerous members of the House Representatives from Boston. The remonstrance of John D. Howard Jr, and others concerned motions of the number of representatives to be elected which were not allowed a vote at the town meeting. After consideration of the evidence, the committee concluded that the election was illegal and void. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of title originally held by the Massachusetts State Library).
