1689, Reasons for armed Protestants
1689 pamphlet entitled "The Declaration of the reasons and motive for the present appearing in arms of the Majesties Protestant Subjects in the
Province of Maryland. The note prefixed to the document stated that it written immediately after the proprietary government was overthrown by John Coode
and Nehemiah Bakiston in 1689, and stated the "Protestant Association's" grievances against Lord Baltimore and council, sufficient to justify their
actions. Of note, this London version is a reprint of the original text printed at St. Mary's. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of title originally
