1837 Report of the Committee of Division and Alteration of Counties regarding the petitions to remove the Shire town from Castine to Ellsworth in
Hancock County and votes from Hancock County regarding the establishment of the judicial courts in several areas. After consideration, the committee
attached a proposed act which would move the Shire town, and resolves providing for appropriations for county offices and courts in Ellsworth.
