1833, Story. Opinion in Allen v. McKeen
|
|
1833 Opinion of Judge Story in the case of William Allen versus Joseph McKeen, Treasurer of Bowdoin College, who determined that the Allen was due
his fees for the degrees as president of the college. This opinion was submitted to the Board of Trustees and then the legislature. Of note, the
government failed to support the college in this action, a fact which both judge and Board of Trustees observed. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of title
