Official opinions of the Attorney General of Illinois: biennial through 1912 and annual thereafter, Springfield, state printer, 1882–. (The office of
Attorney General in Illinois was provided for in its first, 1818, Constitution, but the requirement for regular reports dates only from the 1870
Constitution. Subsequently, the reports for Illinois were published biennially and, starting with 1881-82 usually included the opinions; although opinions
do not appear in the biennial between 1885/86 & 1891/92. Starting in 1913, the publication of the opinions only became annual; with those for each
second year being bound in with the still biennial reports. This quirk for Illinois, and the fact that for many of the other states there were differing
patterns of publication for the A.G reports and opinions, makes for a confusing literature. To minimize confusion in its online offerings, LLMC has
