issues of newspaper from volumes dated 1840 and 1841. Contents include news from Hawaiian Islands, stories related to the Pacific Islands and
international affairs, marine news from Port of Honolulu, advertisements, notices, poetry. (Publication was to cease in December 4, 1841; revived under new
editorship and called New Series; suspended December 18, 1841 – May 18, 1844; beginning May 18, 1844, called “Official organ of the Hawaiian
government.”)
