1805 Report regarding John Gravier versus the mayor, aldermen, and inhabitants of New Orleans, which involved litigation and ownership of a parcel of land call the Batture, in front of the St. Mary suburb. The court concluded that the land in dispute was owned by the descendants of Gravier, through alluvion, and that Gravier be quieted in his lawful enjoyment and an injunction against defendants was made permanent.
