1849 Original copy of the Constitution of the State of Deseret and Journal of Convention. Of note, State of Deseret was a provisional state of the
United States, proposed in 1849 by settlers from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Salt Lake City. It lasted slightly over two years
but was never recognized by the United States government. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of titles originally held by the Library of the Church of
