Representatives. It reads, “In compliance with the resolution of the House of Representatives of the 20th instant, requesting ‘a report of the
disbursements made under the appropriation of the Legislature of 1847, by virtue of a joint resolution entitled “joint resolution on the existing war with
Mexico,” approved February 13, 1847,’ I transmit a report from the Auditor General, and the document by which it is accompanied.”
