Doc. No. 48. Communication from the Board of Public Works relating to a further supply of water for the Ohio Canal near Massillon. February 3,
1844. The water supply of the Ohio Canal needed to be improved. The Board had considered two plans and had chosen the easier and cheaper of the two.
The Board asked for the recission of an old law and the passage of a new one to enable them to move quickly to acquire the land for the project.
