1842. The house wanted to know everything about the sinking fund, the public debt for public works, and whether the taxes and tolls would be enough to
pay the interest coming due in July. The Commissioners answered all the questions in paragraphs, but the tabular response page is completely
illegible. Pages 9-17 were copies of contracts relative to loans and stock sales.
