Doc. No. 43 Special report of the Commissioners of the Canal Fund [Ohio] in reply to a resolution of the House of Representatives, relative to the
receipt of Ohio's proportion of the land distribution. In House, January 16, 1843. Money from the sale of federal public lands was sent in January
and July to the person or persons designated by the Governor, in this case, the Canal Fund. The Fund Commissioners used the money to pay interest and
principal on canal loans.
