Doc. No. 65 Special report of the Auditor of State [Ohio] in reply to a resolution of the House on the subject of bounty on silk. House, February
26, 1841. The Auditor sent a table listing the counties on the left and columns showing pounds of cocoons and the bounty paid in 1839 and 1840. In
1839, only six counties participated, but in 1840, twenty-seven counties received money. Lorain and Lake counties excelled. The total bounty paid
for the two years was $1,076.
