Bank Commissioners. Special report on the Miami Exporting Company, 1840
|
|
Document No. 106 Special report of the Bank Commissioners [Ohio] relative to the Miami Exporting Company. March 13, 1840. The newspaper report of "downright falsehood" in the Commissioners' report required an explanation. The Commissioners asked the cashier of the company to make out a schedule of the liabilities of the directors of the company. That was done; the liabilities of the directors were greater than the money in the company. In fairness, the liabilities had diminished since the report. The schedule at issue was appended.
