1855, Veto message of Governor Andrew H. Reeder and Memorial from the legislature to President Franklin Pierce against the governor. The veto concerned a bill to prevent the sale of intoxicating liquors and games of chance within one mile of the Shawnee Manual Labor Schools in Kansas as well as an act to establish a ferry in Atchison.
