Translation and Digest of such portions of the Mexican Law of March 20 and 23, 1837 as are supposed to be still in force and adapted to California,
as of 1849. Also included were an introduction and notes by J. Halleck, Esq. and W.E.P. Hartnell, Government Translator. Printed in San Francisco in
1849. Of note, the volume is divided into two sections: Political (part one, law of March 20, 1837) and Judicial (part two, law of March 23, 1837).
