1849 Constitution of the State of California published in 1849 in San Francisco in Spanish. This first California constitution was adopted by
delegates on October 12, 1849 and ratified the following year. Of note, Article XI, section 21 provided that all published laws, decrees, regulations and
provision must be published in both English and Spanish. Also included was an appendix which contained the schedules of voting procedures and other
