1807, Address of the Council of Censors
1807 Address of the Council of Censors, elected in March 1806, to the People of Vermont. Of note, the council was to review the executive and
legislative branches' performance, as well as decide if a constitutional convention need be called. In this message, the council notes some issues
regarding the legislature's actions in passing laws and much discussion regarding a case of impeachment of a sheriff before the House; a table of delinquent
taxes was also included. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of titles originally held by the Vermont State Library).
