Vermont State papers, a collection of the records and documents connected with the establishing of the state government of Vermont, along with the
Journal of the Council of Safety, the first constitution, the early journals of the General Assembly and the laws from 1779-1786, as well as the First
and Second Councils of Censors. This document was compiled and published by William Slade,Jr. Secretary of State, in Middlebury in 1823. Included was
a table of contents and index. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of titles originally held by the Library of Congress).
