Description and Holding Information
1861 July, Journal of the State Convention
Missouri State Convention held at Jefferson City in July 1861. This was the second session of the convention, and occurred as the city was seized by
the Union Army. Included were various ordinances in which numerous state offices were declared vacant, with new officials appointed by the
convention until new election were held, declaring various pro-secession laws passed in the legislature as void, as well as various other changes to the state
