Allen, Brief narrative of the proceedings of New York … 1774
A brief narrative by Ethan Allen regarding the position of New York in claiming the New Hampshire Grant lands, and arguments favoring that the New
Hampshire lands were properly granted under their charters. Allen also responded to a pamphlet on the rights of New York, as well a narrative on
proceedings of New Hampshire regarding lands west of the Connecticut River. Allen, who was one of the finding fathers of Vermont, and a hero of the Battle
of Fort Ticonderoga, argued the position of the Wentworth proprietors who claimed ownership in what would become Vermont. (Digitized from a microfilm
copy of titles originally held by the Harvard University Library).
