allowed for state paupers in each jurisdiction for 1826 to 1830. The tables were arranged by county, then each town in the county, and one column for each
year. P. 19 was the Aggregate Table with the combined amount for each county for the five year period: over $68,000 for Suffolk County and $478 for
Dukes County. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of title originally held by the Massachusetts State Library).
Title:   In obedience to an order of the Honorable Senate of the 18th instant, the treasurer respectfully transmits to them a statement of the sums allowed from the treasury for the support of state paupers, to each of the several towns and districts in this commonwealth, and the city of Boston, for the five years last past ... respectfully submitted, Joseph Sewall, treasurer, to the Honorable Senate.
