January 7-28, 1805 Journal of the Proceeding of the Senate of Pennsylvania, sitting as the High Court of Impeachment on the trial of an Article of
Accusation and Impeachment against Edward Shippen, Chief Justice, and Thomas Smith and Jasper Yeates, Assistant Justices of the Supreme Court. Of note
the high misdemeanors originated in the handling of a case against Thomas Passmore, who was accused of contempt of Court and imprisoned by the judges.
They were acquitted as lacking the required 2/3 to impeach. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of the title originally held by the Library of
