House. Act to establish the Boston and Worcester Rail Road Corporation, 1831
SEE ALSO 52259 House No. 30 An Act to establish the Boston and Worcester Rail Road, 1831. Thirty-two men were incorporated as the Boston and
Worcester Rail Road Corporation with the usual rights and responsibilities and corporate structure. The company could have 10,000 shares and was to site
and construct the rail road from Boston to Worcester. It was not to obstruct any existing rights of way and could not build any bridges over the
Charles River. The line had to be done by 1836. This act had passed the Senate and sent over to the House on June 16, 1831. (Digitized from a microfilm
