Every commissioned officer was to parade his company on the first Tuesday of May every year for inspection. Every man aged 18-45, unless otherwise
exempted, had to appear. This was the only allowable call out day. The Major-General of the militia was to pick another day to have a like gathering for
officers, mostly for training. Another day was selected for the musicians to gather. The Adjutant General had to supply tents, etc. at the expense
of the Commonwealth. The officers and musicians were to be paid for their attendance based on muster rolls created at their events. (Digitized from a
