H.R. No. 8 On January 5, 1828, the committee named to examine the Governor's message about a statue of George Washington in the State House sent along five pages of purple prose on statues and memorials and patriotism, finally saying it agreed with the resolve of the Senate, but the text of that resolve was not present. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of title originally held by the Massachusetts State Library).
