1767-06, Tisdale, Speech to prevent plays
June 1767 Speech of Joseph Tisdale in the House of Representatives against the bill which would prevent state plays or other theatrical
entertainment. Of note, Tisdale concluded that the clergy were responsible for this bill , and declared that the government should not be ruled by them.
