June 27, 1895 Memorial to the International Convention of the Cherokee, Creek, Choctaw, Chickasaw, and Seminole Indians [also referred to as the Five Civilized Tribes] at Eufaula, Indian Territory, to the President and Congress of the United States. The memorial provided information that sought to dissuade Congress from allotting land held by the tribes to individuals and altering the governments of the tribes.
