1769 Letters to the Right Honorable Earl of Hillsborough, from Governor Francis Bernard, General Gage and the His Majesty's Council of Massachusetts-Bay. The letters detailed the attempts by Gage to quarter his troops, as well as the response from the Council correcting claimed misrepresentations from the Governor and Gage. Also included were other letters, as well as an Appendix which contained extracts from proceedings which were referenced in these letters. (The Early State Records Collection are digitized from a microfilm copy of title originally held by Harvard University Library).
