Commissioners to Examine the Banks. Report on Frankfort and Globe Banks, 1841
1841 Report of the Bank Commissioners which investigated the Globe Bank in Bangor and the Frankfort Bank at Frankfort. Both were investigated
insolvency, and found that both had large and "unusual" accommodations of funds from the two institutions. Of note the commissioners also recommended that
