Description and Holding Information
1822?, Green vs. Biddle
United State Supreme Court decision, Green v. Biddle. The question before the Court, was whether the Kentucky acts of 1797 and 1812, which
restricted titleholders' rights enumerated under compact between Kentucky and Virginia, were constitutional. The Court decided that that the Kentucky
legislation was an unconstitutional infringement on Virginia's sovereign rights under the compact. See LLMC# 22335 and 22336 for related documents.
