February 13, 1849 communication from the Charles Morgan, Superintendent of the Penitentiary, to the House of Delegates, regarding the moral and
religious instruction given available at the penitentiary. The superintendent reviewed the practice, and noted that Sunday services were provided to the
convicts nearly every week, barring bad weather. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of title originally held by the Library of Congress).
