1833- Trustees meeting of the Deal and Dumb Asylum of Virginia. Of note, the December 21, 1833 meeting (LLMC #22911-1833) indicated that it had been
twelve months since the association was formed to establish this institution; the trustees requested a $4,000 appropriation for the asylum.
