<1864 Jan>- Report of the Superintendent of the Virginia Military Institute. The reports were submitted either annually or semi-annually. Of note,
the 1869 report reviewed the status of the institution following the end of the Civil War to that date. From having no money and buildings decimated
by fire, the 1869 financial statement indicated a balance, as well as progress in construction, as well as settlements with "northern" creditors.
