1839 Judgment from the Superior Court of Henrico County regarding the half pay claimed by officers of the Virginia Line during the Revolutionary War, prepared by the Auditor and submitted to the House. Of note, these judgments were a result of claimed state grant of full pay for five years or half-pay for life, to officers in the Virginia Line if they continued serving during this war, along with certain other conditions. A statement of the judgments rendered at the last Superior Court of Henrico, for half pay claimed by officers of the Virginia Line, during the Revolutionary War : exhibiting the name, rank, and yearly half pay of each of the said officers ; the total amount of the judgments aforesaid ; the dates of their several letters of administration ; and the names and amount of security given in each case, and the courts by which such letters have been granted ; also the nature of the evidence upon which judgments have been rendered, and the names and places of residence of the heirs, representatives, or other persons claiming the benefit of the judgments ; with the names of the counsel, assignees, agents, or attornies in fact, prosecuting the same / prepared by the auditor, in obedience to a resolution of the House of Delegates, of the 11th December, 1830.
