1844 Memorial of the committee from the Richmond convention regarding the construction of a Macadamized road from Staunton to Scottsville, and
submitted to the General Assembly. The petition noted the deficiencies of the established turnpike road, and financial advantages for the James River and
Kanawha Company. Included were the engineer's report, and the estimated cost. Republished as Doc. 10 - LLMC 23490. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of
title originally held by the Library of Congress).
