1848? Memorial on behalf of the Historical Society of Virginia, to the General Assembly, requesting an erection of a monument to George Washington, a
native son of the Virginia, and "Father of his Country." Attached were various documents indicating the long history behind a proposed monument,
with the request by the Historical Society that the General Assembly appropriate sufficient funds to erect the monument. (Digitized from a microfilm
copy of title originally held by the Library of Congress).
