1775-07-17, Proceedings of the Convention of Delegates
Proceedings of the Convention of Delegates for the colony of Virginia held at Richmond, Virginia. Included in the proceedings that lasted from July
17 to August 26, 1775 was an August 11th resolution thanking delegates George Washington, Patrick Henry, and Edmund Pendleton for their work at the
past Continental Congress. On the final day, Patrick Henry was appointed as the colonel of the first regiment of regulars and the commander-in-chief of
all forces to protect Virginia. Forms for various commissions were also included, as well as a discussion and condemnation of Governor John Murray
