1859? Majority and minority reports of the Joint Select Committee regarding the “condition, management, and prospects" of the North Carolina
Railroad. In the majority report, signed by all but one member, the committee determined that the railroad, though extensive, was mismanaged by the president
and directors. A number of exhibits in support of this conclusion were attached to the document. The minority report indicated that there was
insufficient time to thoroughly investigate the management, and thus he refused to concur in the majority's results. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of
