1854 Senate bill to incorporate the Central Railroad Company to construct a railroad from some point on the Beaufort Harbor to the Fayetteville,
through the counties of Carteret, Onslow, Duplin, Sampson, and Cumberland. The bill provided for the subscription and corporate procedures, as well as
all management and other relevant construction and corporate matters. Also included were provisions for compensation for land used to construct the
