1852 Report and resolution of the Joint Select Committee on the Library regarding "Historical Sketches of North Carolina, from 1584 to 1851," which
was written by Col. John H. Wheeler. Being pleased with this work, the committee proposed a resolution that the governor authorize the purchase of 150
copies, to be place in various state offices and the State Library. See LLMC #21704 for a related document. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of
