House. Comm. on Raleigh & Gaston Rail Road. Report, 1851
|
|
1851 Report of the House Select Committee on the Raleigh and Gaston Rail Road. The committee felt that no purchasers were found to buy the railroad, and that the proposed Senate bill was not economically viable. The committee instead proposed an alternative plan that would, among its provisions, release the stockholders from indemnifying the state against losses, as required until the acts of 1838 and 1840. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of titles originally held by the Library of Congress).
