April 22, 1864 Report from the Salt Commissioner at Wilmington to the governor, regarding the condition of the salt works at the vicinity and the
raid of the works on Masonboro Sounds by the Union soldiers, as well as the aftereffects from same. The report was thereafter sent to the House of
