Salisbury, 1776, Commitment of A. Mills. (MS)

Manuscript order of commitment for Ambrose Mills for his "nefarious" opposition against the American cause, issued from the District of Salisbury. Of note, Mills was a colonel with British forces, commander of Tory Cavalry at the Battle of Kings Mountain on October 7, 1780. Following the Patriots' victory, he was captured and hung on October 14, 1780.
